|
Coolness: 83365
| not to be a bitch or ne thing...althought this is kinda abitchy comment...despite the fact that they have long hours and their jobs are relatively crucial to the proper function of 21st century north american society in an urban area, they sit on theyre asses all day driving a bus for gods sake!!!
theyres doctors out there that spend thousands of dolalrs on skewling to do what they do who get paid shit scraps as well. The government has certain other priorities i think. Sorry Mr and Mrs Conductors... |

| well for me, this means if I have a 2:30 pm class I have to take the bus at 8:30am to catch the rushhour stuff... Or if the south shore buses are still running on time, walk from bonnaventure to dawson in the cold. |

Coolness: 64625
| i really hope that they don't strike
i don't want to walk both ways to work
and i'm NOT paying for a cab |
|
Coolness: 142085
| the STM doesn't make that much cash
they're a huge reason montreal has debt...they're always LOSING money ...
but yeah, stm drivers have no need to complain, they JUST, DO. |

Coolness: 117015

| Effectively, people will be pretty much fucked.
Times of operation are 6am-9am .... 3h30 pm to 6pm.... 11pm to 1 in the morning.
BTW, the STM are in actual deficit. When the metro was planified, they planned everything based on the fact that they would have to replace subway train parts after 20 years of operation. Problem is, they had to start replacing after 15, so the whole accounting got fucked by the misplanification. |
|
Coolness: 300045
| they wouldnt lose that much money if they werent overpaying employees like they do. Have you guys noticed how in metro stations these days there is like 4-5 employees in the booth just chilling and drinking tea? is that what they are paid for? |

Coolness: 201945
| here is the official slap in the face from the site
Looks like a lot of people won't be going home after getting drunk... That's got to be good. |
|
Coolness: 300045
| god bless having a car |
|
Coolness: 2749635
| God bless living downtown... |
|
Coolness: 201945
| [sarcasm]yeah cars are great for getting home when you are drunk.... |
|
Coolness: 85725
| you don't work down town though... are they reducing service too? or just operating at those times... |
|
Coolness: 201945
| I go to school downtown.. and I have to travel far to get there.. so it is a problem for me. I'm lucky that the bus service hasn't been cancelled here afaik so I can still take the express bus to bonnaventure. |
|
Coolness: 340385
| this is so gay, essential serivices is catering to 1/3 of the island by only running buses during rush hour.
what about just about everyone else out there who actually *needs* to move from one place to another during those times..?
(nothing like promoting the idea that everyone should have their own car and drive to work.. |
