so i started smoking weed when i was 17 (yah pretty late) and that was my first illegal drug and no weed is not a gateway drug |

First "drug" use I did was pretty late, I smoked weed for the first time when I was 17. Didn't smoke more than about 10-15 times in my whole life from then up untill me and my ex broke up, which was a year and a half ago, at which point I've been a regular weed smoker. At concerts when I was 19 I started taking ephedrin. Had a "pre-show" ritual, right as the last opening band finnished before the headliners, me and my friends would line up 6 shots of JD, and slam each of them back, dropping one ephedrin pill (Firedrene at the time) into each shot before slamming it back, so that was the equivalent of roughly 2 speed... Spent quite a few years with a fairly nasty ephedrin adiction, and strangely enough it's at my first party, Terra 2, that I quit, 'cause I down 27 of them since I wanted to do some sort of drug. At the time I was up to about 15-20 pills a day, and every 3 pills is the equivalent to 1 speed... I ate roughly 27 for Terra 2. Then I quit ephedrin after that. And no, weed wasn't the gateway drug. Neither was alcohol. More than anything, the gateway was boredom, curiosity, and availability. |

I don't consider it a gateway drug.. the biggest gateway I find is other people / peer pressure. I didn't even know where to get drugs untill I met people who did them. It IS embarassing to say no when someone offers you free coke, free K, free speed, free pcp, etc... |
