Someone has prolly already done a thread about this, but I saw it last night for the first time. Holy shit. I cried so much. Fucking Amazing. The whole thing was fantastic.
And I always resented having to move to Canada, but the more years I spend here the prouder I am to live here. |

I saw Michael Moore on The View yesterday- it was hilarious
they all hate him the whole show was 4 women trying to talk louder than him oh and how did you not fall over and die when he did the history of gun control in the states with the talking bullet? it was hilarious |

i was thouroughly impressed with this movie
who cares if a thread has already been made, i don't think this is a movie that should be easily forgotten... though, i think the view of canada is A LITTLE exageratted, because WE DO have some very slummy ghetto's, but i guess for the sake of comparison to america, it did what it was suppost to do |

i thought that he trailed off the point too much and didn't really focus on it enough. the first 3/4 of the movie he was blaming guns- then pretty much took his entire argument back. then he blamed racism, then he blamed fear but never really stuck with anything
i thought it was realyl good- bu ti think if he'd actualyl stuck with one thing the whole time it would have been alot more intense |

there were parts that definetly didn't push his points forward, but most of the movie was good and blaming the traditional American ego...the whole getting bullets banned from K-Mart or whatever was pretty useless i thought |

i liked the movie very much too, but i'm going to burst everyone's bubble right now.
a lot of the movie is based on manipulation and fabrication. take charlton heston's first appearance in the film, after columbine. we're led to believe that every clip shown is from the speech he gave right after columbine, when in fact, it's clips of many different speeches. or take the plaque on the vietnam bomber plane. he severly twists the words that supposedly appear the plaque. and the numbers about gun related deaths in various countries are exaggerated and possibly made up. no one can confirm where the numbers came from, or how accurate they are. |

it was sorta too obvious tho
one sided and some of the facts apparently arent that accurate but overall damn good flick except all those people in windsor must be locking their doors now that the secrets out... tv nation was a sick show2 |

the marilyn manson interview is great. i'm sure he cleared up a lot of misconceptions about him. he's a smart guy. |

It's funny how people are only realising that he's a fuckin' genius only after jumping on the bandwagon of watching Bowling for Columbine. You should dig up the article he wrote for Rolling Stone, or maybe some interviews from the mid-90s. He's got more of a head on his shoulders than 90% of the people out there. |

yeah, the movie was entertaining but very biased and served michael moores agenda quite a bit.
like, why did dick clark appear in the movie at all? what purpose did it server to smear the guy? he's prolly a dick, but thats not really much of a reason to go without an appointment, and try to talk to him when he's late for a show, then get the door slammed in his face making the guy look like he's a real ass. |

before i watched this movie i had no thoughts on marilyn manson, hadn't listened to his music, hadn't read any interviews.
say the movie, thought he was extremely intelligent, well spoken, watched the interview over a few times. i'm not looking to jump on a bandwagon, just sharing an observation i had from watching the film. i suppose i could say nothing, not give credit where i think credit is due........ but why? |

Spooky I totally agree. I have saved many interviews cut out of magasines dating from the early 90's to just a coule years ago. I always thought he was such an intellegent person. However I did go off him for a little while after I saw him in 98 (i think- at the medley) cuz I was really disapointed with the show. But nontheless he still has my respect. |
