Mmmm tofu!
I made these with my friend and they were all good. Easy and Fast: Basic Crunchy Tofu Ingredients: tofu oil spice composition Directions: Decide what taste you want. For example Italian style: oregano, pepper, parsley... Or chilli, cumin, salt. Or curry, cumin. Just pick a good combination! Or use a ready made mix. Make the oil hot in a pan. Slice the tofu. Now pour an awful lot of spice into that pan. Yes, it is brutal because spices loose taste in such heat. But this will make the crunchy coating I want you to try! (; When the pan is covered with spice, put the dry tofu slices inside and fry them on both sides. You can carry the cold slices as a lunch snack with you during the day, and buy fresh brown breadrolls and fill them. Enjoy! Preparation time: 7-10 min -- Corn, Rice and Tofu Ingredients: 1/2 cup cooked rice (any kind) 1/2 cup cubed tofu 1/3 cup cut corn soy sauce (to taste) Directions: Add all ingredients to a bowl. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes. Serves: 1 Preparation time: 5 minutes -- Fast and Simple Tofu and Beans Ingredients: 1/4 cup chopped firm tofu 16 oz can vegetarian baked beans 2 T chopped onion black pepper (to taste) Directions: Place Tofu, Beans, and Onion in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on High for 4 minutes -covered- stirring halfway through cooking time. Remove from microwave (careful! It's hot). Add as much pepper as you'd like (I love pepper, so I POUR it in there) and enjoy! I came up with this during my lunch break today. I'm going off to college next fall and this will definitely make a great, filling lunch when I don't have the money to eat anywhere else! Serves: 1 Preparation time: 5 Minute Dessert Tofu Cheese Cake NUMBER OF SERVINGS: 8 OVEN TIME: 10 minutes OVEN TEMP : 350 Ingredients: 4 ounces whole wheet honey graham crackers 3 tablespoons olive oil(preferable) or margarine at room temperature 1 cup pineapple juice 2 tablespoons gelatin or agar-agar 1 pound soft tofu 5 tablespoons honey 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel 1 teaspoon candied ginger, minced COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan plate with margarine. 2. In a food processor, or by hand, crumble the grham crackers, add olive oil and work to a fine crumb. Press the cracker mixture onto the bottom of the pie plate until the surface is smooth and even. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool. 3. Heat the pineapple juice to a near boil. Stir in the gelatin or agar-agar gradually and simmer until it is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Cool for at least 10 minutes. 4. In a blender or food processor, combine all the other ingredients with pineapple juice mixture and blend for a minutes. Pour into the baked crust. Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours |

i don't like that stuff anymore.
but i was a vegetarian the 1st 4 years of living. we had tofu taco's, just buy a "taco kit" and the required vegetables and instead of ground beef, use tofu. also, don't mix the whole seasoning pack in, cuz it'll be too strong~ |
