Microsoft .net Framework...

Is it just me or its complete BULLSHIT...like DirectX...
there's like a hundred different versions outthere with I dunno how many updates and 32bits/64bits e86/x64/x86 versions and there's programs running only on particular versions or particular versions + particular service packs and some w'ont work at all with it so you need to download another version of the freakin thing making your other program not working anymore. Maybe I should swicth to Windows 7...I dunno but like hell I dont wanna try all those [ .NET ] versions to have my damn program running. Cant they just make an OS with everything integrated without having to download extra frameworks/services packs/security updates/bla bla bla to have all your programs running >_>

haha I knew I would have the "get a mac" answer but
seriously I kinda liked win95/98 lol until it came with those freakin service packs bullshit and security center and so on... maybe I will get a mac at somepoint lol I just trying to run an image editor to resize a freakin pic and im stuck with those message errors cuz of [ .net ] framework not installed and it is. So I keep on un-installing/re-installing it and its not working and I cannot uninstall the program either cuz it says I need the [ .net ] framework installed to un-install it :P

I like winxp lol, I dont have windows 7 and if its gonna take more RAM and disk space I dont see why I would switch, and after re-installing that damn [ .net ] framework again finally got my [ paint.net ] program to run :)
I have a 3Ghz pentium 4 processor with 2GB of RAM, not a quad or dual core with 4+ GB of RAM, winxp runs smoothly on it, dunno about windows 7, and I just re-installed winxp again not long ago so Im stuck with it until I get rich and buy another somewhat up-to-date computer I guess... Just had so much issues with that [ .net ] framework thing lately, another program for exemple who need it was running fine before then they changed version and it updated automaticly to the new version and was impossible to go back to the previous working version so I though maybe I needed another [ .net ] framework version but it didnt solved the problem at all.

Windows 7 will run smoothly for sure. My friend got the same config. And for the record, i installed seven (starter version) on a P4 with 512 MB RAM lol... And i was surprised that A:it worked, B:how smooth it worked considering the pc amount of RAM

also because its not 4gb of shitty services aimed to spy or offer more security holes than what it was based on ; xp. also because its not completely crap like seven or vista. need a pointer : interface , just compare how many more click you need just to change an ip addy , or get to the log messages of the administration console.
dot net is the beggest crap in the world along with mac. and in short third firefox , flash and java. it was all built on assembly , why need anything else.
