here's an interesting thought:
Time, as we measure it, is based on revolutions of the Earth around the Sun. Let's imagine, for whatever reason, that the Earth began drifting either further away (or closer to) the sun, thereby resulting in stretched (or compressed) day-lengths. Would time itself be affected, or just our perception of it? |

time is not based on earth revolutions... accorfding to the SI (Systeme Internationale) one second is defined as "the duration of 9 192 631 770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium 133 atom."
so obviously only our perception of time would change... and not even so, only the length of our days would change |
