 Coolness: 130435 | Ok, so lets say I'm an international dj and I want to come play in Montreal and I come on here and I see this thread where cats are laughing about how they managed to lure some other international talent into this city and got them to play for less like suckers and then tell them to get the fuck out of the city when you've made them run around the whole day making promises
I would definitely not be interested in coming to Montreal and playing Anyhow, I don't know how you guys run the hardcore scene in Montreal but fuck you guys need to watch out you don't give this city a bad name I mean if some local promoter tried to skimp out on paying me a fee I'd been promised (after using MY NAME as a means to charge A COVER from party goers), I gotta be honest I would be pretty pissed about it and would probably make a big stink as well. Lukily in all the years I've played in Montreal its never happened once, so respect to all the honest promoters out there! |

Hardcore promotors are FLAT BROKE.. throwing parties with your "pret et bourse" or your "candie sales" isn't the way to do a party.. either you have the money in advance and assume the losses or just do a small 1 room party with your friends playing for free where you can "budget" the party in advance..
and i also agree with Dalhia on everything.. Host, while your too busy sucking promotor dick to get more free bookings, others are getting fucked over.. come back to earth and see things from different perspectives sometimes.. not just YOUR perspective.. |
