If shoe removal is SUGGESTED, then hey it's all good, but it isn't if it's REQUIRED. Unless you have recently got hardwood floors redone or have wall-to-wall white carpeting, I just don't see the necessity.

Now, if you're throwing a party at your place and you're concerned about people messing up your place, don't throw parties there in the first place. Find some other place to do it.

I have skate shoes and they're always clean. Otherwise, I will gladly wipe my shoes until my soles are spotless and show them at the door for full inspection if need be but that's as far as I'll go for removal.
