The End Of Sony Mdrv700

I went to Sony Store earlier today to replace a pair I got stolen at a party few months back and... I got the shock of my life: the Sony MDRV700 are discontinued!
Thankfully, the salesman ordered me a pair from factory (I'm guessing) and I'll receive them next week. But still... I love MDRV700s and I doubt any headphones out there are able to top the quality those pair of headphones offer. :( |

Sennheiser HD-25-IIs.
End of story folks. Although I did find the Pioneer 1000s quite comfy. But yeah Sony's are consumer level, heavily bass boosted.

mdr v 700 sont parfaite pour mixer, justement a cause de la bass et des high booster.

The guy was offering me to buy the v600 to replace the 700s but I wasn't impressed (since I mostly think of them for studio use only). Do they have noise cancellation too? |

when i started spinning i first got myself a pair of the 600's and returned them cause they sound flat as fuck. it's as if the headphones are coke cans and the sound is miles away.
they cut the noise pretty well though and have better ear suport than the 700's .

They have ample output for mixing, last super long time and the pads are nice, big and comfy... Ufot-noise, we love it

You meen the Sony 500 look like baby 600. The 600 where staple DJ headgear all through the 90's effective and sexy but the 700 are alot louder for us def old folks. I had the exact same issue out here and after comparing and countrasting I settled on the Technics RP-DH1200 they look a little flashy and gimmiky but the are loud as fuck. They also have a cord that can detach so you can't rip it off while your drunk mixing ( RIP SONY 600 pair 4 & 6) I think over the years I've had 8 pairs of 600 (I lost 2 pair in a week once) and 3 Pairs of 700. If you do buy a pair of 700 on EBAY(one of the last places you can) be carefull as I tried that and got some bootleg bulshit. |
