It's already been shown than the banks failing is only half over. There's going to be a second wave of mortgage defaults that will cause more banks to fail in the next 2 years, this will cause the recession to deepen.

this is what happens when you PRINT money and LEND it to the other banks at an interest rate.
It makes NO sense at all, I mean, how you can pay interest on money borrowed from the only legal entity that can print money?! It's like me saying, I have this priceless painting, I will lend it to you but you will owe me this same painting PLUS more of this same painting next year.... there's only one fricking painting!! So yeah, money is going to collapse, I can't wait personally... we're all going to die!! (I mean, we are, aren't we?)
I'm feeling warm and fuzzy right now.. |

I heard that marijuana has not lost monetary value in the past 500 years... Maybe it will be the new currency. Maybe that would make a good ONION article.

Iceland is revolting at the moment, government has borrowed billions in oversea countrys, they're having hard time getting food since October and there's only 3 banking institution still running (and only because they've been bought back by the government).
There's a couple other countries on the verge of bankrupcy as we speak, meaning we're probably entering a new colonial era where countries will be bought instead of conquered. Ain't that awesome (sarcasm). At least, Canada seems to be one of the few countries still running ok, so we should not be affected that badly by the incoming events ... let's cross fingers!

i agree with Ian on this matter. things are getting worse and we will not surface anytime soon. The interest rate isn't 1% btw, it's the rate the gouvernement is lending to the bank's at so your interest rate will be significatly higher (depending on your product that is).
i just got fired from the CIBC.. they are looking for reason's to fire employee's.. anther one of my collegues got fired at the same time i did and i think another one is getting fired as i'm typing. pretty soon, the mortgage market will change and "Brokers" will no longer exist (as they are one of the main causes of fraud). yesterday, 50,000 jobs were cut world-wide (maybe 50,001 if you add mine) !!!
I'm feeling white flaging right now.. |

The place I have been doing work for is doing pretty bad, since they are advertising dependent (small newspaper).. It was pretty amazing, they were doing better than ever in October and in December the advertising market basically STOPPED.
