I created a custom theme from a generator (similar to a myspace profile generator) but do to the nature of how the themes work, it's not just like editing/copying/pasting HTML.
The final generated theme which I created was to be saed into a .zip (which I did) and included this text file "This zip-files contains your custom created Wordpress 2.1 theme files. Upload the files in: /wp-content/themes/ on your server. Login to your admin with your browser: [ www.example.com ] With tab "presentation" select: WordPressThemeGenerator. Your new WordPress theme should be installed" I have no idea WHERE I am supposed to upload them (apparently to "my server" only I don't have a server) and have been fucking around in the wordpress admin panel to the point I have a headache. No I am not retarded, I just spent ages learning HTML only to have it have no use in this situation. :(
I'm feeling a hot mess right now.. |

okee i went on the site and there is 2 way of using Wordpress... if you have download wordpress you need to install it on your own Server ! which means on your computer...
but im pretty sure you only want the ONLINE version so you must subscribe to the ONLINE free blog service ... im not sure its your problem but i hope it has shed a light :) good day ps: subscribe for a free blog hosted by wordpress the software you download is the package to actually have it running on your Webserver. i would give you the link but its the same you really have to find it on the site! ps2: maybe the free blog offer doesnt let you UPLOAD new theme... not sure about that
