| Yeah no shit... man, this has been in waiting for ages. What the guy said about latency really interests me. I can't help but think it's cheating a bit but I think this method of learning (potential learning that is) beats a long-haired stoner showing you how to play "Rooster". |

Even the button versions aren't really about learning the sequence by heart rather than developing a good eye/hand coordination. This Disney game looks interesting, but the interface reminds me a lot of Keyboardmania, a music-game similar to Beatmania, designed to be played with a piano keyboard instead of the regular arcade buttons, yet the final experience was quite the same. |

| I dunno, I tend to have really good hand-eye co-ordination when it comes to videogames (real sports and things like catching balls or playing baseball I can't do for shit, but mostly because I've never been interested in sports and physical activity so I never worked my muscles to handle the coordination required).. But guitar hero or DDR I can't do..
Guitar hero I can't play well because I actually know how to play a guitar; I hear the music playing and I see the buttons on the screen and everything is just totally wrong and my mind locks up because of the argument between "push these buttons!" and "But that's one note on the 12th fret, not a note on the 1st and 4th!" |
