He suspended parliament, all this does is stop everyone from being able to do anything, including himself.
I'm feeling pompous right now.. |

I am not pro-conservative, but this coalition is bullshit.
On s'attend à avoir une grosse crise socio-politique d'ici quelques semaines.

Meh, may I ask why you think it's bullshit?
I feel a coalition would be very democratic. Funny how Harper wanted to form one with the Bloc while Paul Martin's liberals were in power, and would now be 'undemocratic'...

I'm just saying that the citizens of Canada voted for one party, and one only. I mean, I didn't vote for a coalition, nobody did. I was watching TVA last night, and a majority (they did a survey...) of people weren't too happy about the whole situation at the Parliament. And now, well. There is no parliament. It's gone. The country is on "pause", waiting for it's easy button.

Canada never wanted them in power.
I'm feeling plur-anus right now.. |

I suppose...
I keep wondering what would have happened if, say... a majority of people actually voted during the federal elections, if it would have actually changed something.

I think Harper made a big mistake. Canada has been receiving good press form the world lately because we have insulated ourselves somewhat from the global recession. Harper could have rode that wave of good press. Instead he has decided to continue to push a conservative ideology which is very unpopular at this time.
I'm not a huge fan of the coalition, however. The NDP and BLOC will essentially be suspending some of their principals to get in bed with the centralist Liberal party. Sounds like diluted politics to me. Who would have voted for these parties if they were a coalition at the time of the election?

Well we voted for someone cuz we think they have good judgement, we put our faith in them, so they are entitle to form a coalition since we express our voice by voting, and by the same thing thinking they will have good judgement. So they have the right of coalition.
If we are not happy with what they do, don't vote for them next election in 6 month...
I'm feeling yeah right now.. |
