 Coolness: 167260 | our place is cool but we rarely make parties. you'll hear from us once in a while, and if you like psy-trance it's an awesome place to be. don't bother if you hate it though... anyways we like to give more than we take, there is always nice sound and fresh fruits for the people. more like a loft party anyways, if you can take your shoes off without the danger of stepping on broken glass... from the big loft at 202. we like to use the 203 as a chillroom, the kitchen makes it the perfect place to serve chai and other funky drinks.

hey namaste .. did'nt 1619 william get busted twice last week-end... i heard about the cops showing up twice.. i have lived in that building & from personal experience it is a better place to make musik.. not have mega parties every other weekend... loft parties are repetive debauche happenings waitng to be stopped.. find new places.. organize big, quality events... bref keep it real... bla bla bla bla hmm i've heard of it, but it happened while we were at electronik brain. the first party that happened here with our crew got busted too, but that was back in july or something... they tried to get in at our new years party too but we kindly told them that we were allowed to celebrate new years among friends. they just went back to their cars hehe. the other parties (november, january, april) didn't have any troubles with the police, they didn't even show up once. we try to make them apart in time, and we tell all the neighbors a week in advance and if they have any problem with it we offer to pay them a hotel room. that way we have no complaints and we keep the friendliness. the cops and the neighbors is the reason why i don't support what is going on at #203 right now. i mean, expecially if it is supposed to be PLUR and all that, well respect is an important part of PLUR. there are people trying to live normal lives there, people that need sleep on the weekends too because they actually go to work, etc... a party every weekend ruins the quality of life of all the other people sharing this building; the walls and floors are really not soundproof. it is actually a good place to make music. most people sharing this space with me are musicians in a way or another, and i'm a rave deco artist tripping on the possibilities that having so much space opens up. so yeah we try to keep it once every two or three months. and if you ever come to one of the parties happening somewhere else than the 203 you'll realise that there is a lot of effort put into them. 203 used to be the chillout space for our parties before it got taken over by candy ravers. i don't really know what is going on there anymore, all i know is that the vibes really changed. well that's what living in communities inevitably implies anyways so we adapt. whatever. i just want to say that not all events here are shitty and only an excuse to get fucked up or to gather money. but then most people coming to the parties we make probably are not the ones reading this. we may not have lazers but we create a really unique and thought up vibe for our parties. peace out people. |

But I mean, you guys shouldn't talk about the people who need sleep thing really, I went to bed on Saturday night around 5 to get up for work at 10:30, really little sleep and psy pounding above my head. It was still going on when I woke up. I'm just glad I have very effective earplugs.
And Karen wtf I told you we had some cop problems, but you don't have to go and take that out of context talking about how we're not keeping it real. We never said we weren't going to scout but we have a good space for parties right now so we're at least doing a few. The cops didn't come in or really discourage us much. I'm not sure what you mean by saying "find new places.. organize big, quality events... bref keep it real..." - dude upstairs just threw the Electronic Brain party, that seems like it was a big quality event, and us guys downstairs haven't even been doing this long and you're telling us after three parties, none of which were "every other weekend", try every month perhaps, to month and a half, that we should find new places? Geezus Karen, if you really think we're such amateurs why don't you give us your NTK super master class on alienating friends and being an elitist snob with the same circle of people every weekend so that you can throw insular free parties where you treat newcomers, not to mention some regulars, like shit? Is that supposed to be better? Man you guys are losing me, I don't know how much more of your b.s. I can listen to anymore. We're trying to do our own soundsystem and you thumb your nose at our efforts. Is that supposed to be a friendly gesture? Because you had better fucking clear this up with me, I don't get whether it's a friend of mine indirectly dissing me or just writing things down before thinking. |
