Hi everyone my name is Manuel and i've been too my first rave last week (SOMA 2008)
I had a blast with my step-sister and we are officially goign too every rave we can (There really seems too be a problem to people addicted too raves :P) and we wanted this time to be a little more "prepared". So does anyone know a shop in Montreal that sells rave wear ? Glowstick, glowing shirts and necklaces, i don't know ... anything !!! Please your answers are really important (To her for the most :P) See you at the new rave or at rewire 4 Eucaryote aka Manu -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Je vais faire ça plus cour, mais bon moi et ma demi-soeur on reviens de SOMA2008 et on aimerais être préparer pour le prochain rave, glowticks et du stuck de rave quoi ! Si quelqu'un connais un magasins qui vend ce genre de chose s'il vous plaît m'en (nous) faire part !!! Merci beaucoup !!! Eucaryote / Manu

Good luck with that, as far as guys are concerned.
Make Ebay your friend. For glowsticks, there's always army surplus, canadian tire or dollarama, though the sticks at dollarama suck and work half the time.

pour les trucs qui illumine :
Ebay a quelques auctions assez folles parfois! Du type, 3000 bracelet glowstick pour 1000$ Il y a des trucs plus commun aussi si tu veux pas remplir des boites pour les années a venir ;) |

The style these days is to wear a garbage bag and smear poo on your lips, then put a rotten beaver carcass on your head and whistle the Davy Crockett theme song. That's NU RAVE! YEAH!
I'm feeling brake whore right now.. |

Mode 2010 on St-Denis has some pretty neat fat pants for girls ^^
But alot of ravers make their clothing themselves, it depends which type you would like to belong to. A typical candy raver would wear candy neckalaces with toys attached to them, many bracelts, a huge plastic toy wallet chain, bright colored clothing, excessive amounts of body glitter, tons of stickers, a kids backpack full of toys & candy, and sometimes eye makeup. All that you can get at any Dollarama or Ardene or Winners, or whatever. Some ravers sew their own clothing. Just be yourself and wear what you want, the most important thing is to have a positive vibe and wear it. :D
I'm feeling call me blonde & die right now.. |

Forget about clothing, it's not out method... Take black paint and draw on urself whatever will come to your sick mind..... Then take something (anything!) and insert it somewhere... It doesn't really matter that much...wear something [ comfy...com ] shoes=must! unless you don't plan on dancing...but trust me you'll end up anyway and its better not to have blisterific shoes stopping you from getting into the beats. But it doesn't really matter I've been going to these ahem...crazy all night dance parties called "raves" (ode to Sosa!) for a couple of years now and half the time I wear the same spiderman t-shirt that I hacked up into a halter top and whatever pants happen to be at the foot of my bed come saturday night...I still, to this day have yet to buy glowsticks or fat pants, you don't need to dress to impress when your gonna dance for 8 hours straight and end up looking like a drowned rat come dawn :)
I'm feeling frisky right now.. |

Don't just dress the part, it dosen't matter what you wear... be original and do what you feel is right and good,..
I hate to bring the P word up after all this time but PLUR was made for a reason,. R was most important then and I think is even more important now. Even though I just call it PR now cuz I get my LU at home if you know what I'm sayin'. and bro if your gonna buy glowstixx from Dollarama shake them first, if they make noise don't buy em, have fun, and don't forget your towl. |
