It's funny you should say to watch the video when all of the witnesses claim the rcmp and airport are to blame for his death and that they overreacted. It's even funnier after you watch the actual video and see that he is being completely calm with the police who corner him(at which point he is still calm) and then taser him(at which point he does nothing but jolt before they taze him again, at which point he begin to walk to the sidem, at which point they taze him again and again). I don't understand where in this video you see a violent person.

The RCMP should just admit that this is the result of an officer's blatant indifference to life and trigger happiness and fire some people instead of making themselves look like sons of lying bitches as they stand up for these expendable fucks. Maybe then these incidents would actually stop happening.

The whole story reeks of incompetance from the airport staff to the rcmp.
Shame on them all. | |

I can say from experience the following:
120V - stings a bit, area where contact is made gets tingly 210V - jaw seazes, uncomfortable body tingling, involuntary and hard to control muscle contractions, area where contact is made can be charred or burned, and only what I can describe as a "battery acid" taste in the mouth so my question is, neither of those currents have proven fatal to me, why is it that a tazer which puts out far less current can be? Granted Im in good health and neither of those exposure were ever for more than a few seconds at a time and neither of them were pulsing (I've heard that can freak ur nervous system out)... just curious if anyone knows the science behind this Ufot-ouch, I shocked myself again???

A Taser puts out between 20 000 and 150 000 volts and between 2 and 3 milliamps. If you have a heart condition its considerably more dangerous. If you are in disstress and have 4 cops pegging you down with there knees on your chest, it's also a lot more dangerous. Throw in pepper spray, a club to the gut, repeted electrocutions and a little too much cocaine...

I'm sure that an 120v taser sends out more than 120v based on the length of the zap. It was also zapped at least 4 times. Doing that to somebody who is already distressed and possibly drunk(increased your heart rate + high liquid content) is pretty fucking dumb.
I'm not really concerned with the number of volts it has because if you watch the video you can clearly see the dude's body convulsing after the first or second zap as if the current were about to lift him from the sky.

No such thing as a 120v taser, i think ufot's experience is in referance to a wall plug (the kind you have in your home).

The wattage is what will kill you. An electrical socket in your house will have 120V and anywhere between 5 to 30amps. Multiply volts times amps and that's your wattage. A taser does 50,000volts, but only a few miliams (0.001amps) which means you're getting a jolt of about 50 watts of juice, which is usually not enough to kill you. Stick a fork into an electrical socket on the other hand, and you'll get anywhere between 1000 to 5000 watts of juice, which can easily kill you.
I'm feeling evident right now.. |

both my experiences were with wall plugs... I guess this is kinda like that weird fact where as you can smoke 10 cigarettes an be fine, but if you ground up and ate ten cigarettes you`d be dead within the hour...
