| Pretty sickening... there was a horrid Tom Hanks movie where he plays some Polish or Slavic guy, in a very offensive manner, as if to suggest they're all stupid hapless morons with pathetic crushes on inaccessible women. I hated the film but it's basically about him being stuck in airport bureaucracy, attempting to immigrate, and having constant run-ins with a bunch of Naziesque airport security people who are trying to make sure he doesn't leave... anyways, as pointless as that film was we see what really happens when someone is in airport limbo for ages... I wouldn't blame the guy for having a freakout if he did, and I don't doubt the RCMP used excessive force in the situation. It's just not safe to electrocute people. |
