XRNS-PHP : [ xrns-php.sourceforge.net ]
XRNS-PHP is a collection of PHP5 command-line scripts for working with Renoise ( [ www.renoise.com ] ), a program for composing music using samples and sequencing. XRNS-PHP provides tools to convert, merge, compress, and otherwise manipulate the data files that are produced by and used with Renoise. Currently available: xrns-sf: XRNS Script Frontend, a graphical interface to any PHP script (for Windows) clip2code: converts pattern data to simple text xrns_merge: merges 2 XRNS modules xrns_ogg: compresses XRNS and XRNI with OGG VORBIS xrns_randomizer: randomizes XRNS modules xrns2midi: translates an XRNS module to MIDI format xml2mid: converts a MidiXML file to MIDI format xrns_searchandreplace: Replaces every occurance of specific note in the song to another one New scripts welcome.

thats seriously interesting ! i would like to make a script that makes new song out of existing one while keeping harmonics and such ! that could make a kick ass multimedia artwork that could also morph a song into something new just by letting it loop into all the possibilite that would make sence ! very interesting concept

Yeah, a script like that would be cool, you should contribute to the project.
Over the weekend I made some changes in the CVS for the XRNS randomzier script: New features: Randomize modes based on scales, option to keep note octave. Now the user can chose the following randomize algorithms: * chaos * shuffle * harmonic_minor * locrian * lydian * melodic_minor * pentatonic_blues * pentatonic_major * pentatonic_minor * pentatonic_netural Windows users who want to help test can double click get_cvs_dev_version_scripts.cmd in XRNS-SF version 1.4. Others can check out the code using their CVS client of choice.
