Sl1200s Repair - Any Tips?

| On of our Technics SL1200s died this morning - from an ailment I have heard of before but which I have also learned is expensive to repair for such a little thing. Basically the pin which connects the power on-off button has let loose and is hiding down in the bowels of the machine. Nothing is broken, it just needs that piece of metal to be joined once again to it's plastic place.
Has anyone seen this happen before, and if so, is there a quick and easy solution? My repair place is on vacation and I hate to wait weeks without getting it back into use. It is important to us, fer crissakes. |

| If you can't wait for a pro, well find another one, or someone handy enough to do the job. Does the pic have to be re-welded (I'm quite potent in micro welds)... |
