Noah: Freedom of expression isn't the case here. You can't get out of a fine claiming that the graffiti you did on a wall was freedom of expression.

I'm feeling fired up right now..

The police, before everything, are there for our protection.. yeah, i wanted to punch them in the face when they closed the party this weekend because i was just starting to really have a blast... But that doesn't change the fact that, as mentionned above, the venue might not have been ideal for 300 people dancing.. I saw multiple people fall over on those stairs (getting there hands orange in paint at the same time), there was some places on top of the ramp that were loose, meaning someone could have fell through if they weighted enough, the sound was loud and they were getting complaints from the neighbours (as per the officer i spoke with) ..

It is the same deal with the party last week that didn't happen.. the venue was not "secure" according to police regulation, resulting in a bust.. Yeah, you can blame it on the "gay nightclubs" (as mentionned above), but all they did was point out the fact that the place isn't legal and eventually, someone might get hurt.

Aa much as we hate those nightclubs, they are the only "legal" venue's around that offer 100% stability as a party location.

The choice is obvious, no ?? risk Vs no risk !!!
I'm feeling beckers @ rewire 3 right now..

actually guys Stereo was busted on saturday night too!

they are not the only "legal" venues around. A legal venue is any building that is going to give you the capacity, fire safety and noise protection that you need for your party. I had have the police show up at every event I have been involved with, and these parties were not shut down - because the venues were safe and legal. Many promoters do not take the time to book a venue until the last minute, and this leads to sub par venues being chosen and hearts getting broken. Sometimes people are just lazy and don't put in the effort to find a good venue.

But don't say that clubs are the only option, because a party at a club does not equal a rave.

exactly. Cops show up, look around and if everything is fine, they smile, tell the promoters to have a fun night, and leave.

I don't blame gay clubs, they are part of the market that's it!
as every other places that sell drinks and has a dance floor....
There are those who pay and those who doesn't.
If you can't or decide not to pay, you face some difficulties, it's the way it is nowadays.
I'm feeling fired up right now..
