| my entertainment law classes are a bit far in my mind right now, But if I recall well, under Canadian law you can only get sued for the amount of the loss of the other party. When you license a sample its about 9 cents per copy sold. So if you get sued, technically they can only sue you for that 9 cents, considering there isn't really another loss on their side. |
