Resident Evil could have been SO MUCH, but from the start they completely messed it up. The first one should have been more of a horror movie than an action movie, but they had to go and set the whole thing in that lab instead of having it in the mansion.
Paul Anderson has this incredible knack for taking something that's been established, and re-working it in his own way that's completely the opposite of what the original was like.

I'm not a fan of horor movie so i liked the first one more than the second one... But I wouldn't say "action movie" more like Sci-fi.
And i'm Milla's fan fo' sure! so I'll watch the next one! For the video game, I played it once at the arcade and found it pretty repetitive, not to say boring...

Resident Evil wasn't an arcade game, it was on PSX and Gamecube.. The game was more of a horror movie than a sci-fi action. The majority took place in the mansion with only like the last 1/5 being in the lab, and there weren't tons of zombies. The thing was, the ammo was hard to come across so you had to learn to pick your battles and when to run, or you could end up out of ammo and surrounded by zombies.. They completely destroyed the "survival horror" aspect of it when they made the movie. Too many guns, too much ammo, plus "super-Mila" with the cliche bullet-time kick to the dog. The movie was absolutely NOTHING like the game, and the only elements that were the same was that they contained zombies, the dogs, and the t/g virus. Even the Licker wasn't introduced untill part 2.. Not to mention that the whole story was absolutely NOTHING like the game.
It's still a fun watch, but it's got absolutely NOTHING to do with the original game, other than sharing similar elements.

Clocktower 3 on the PS2 is fucking mad. Made me and my brother jump and freak the fuck out of us. REALLY well done for the scares.

So far though, Resident Evil 4 is by far the best one for the gameplay, it's just a shame that there aren't any zombies in it.. The need to re-do all the RE games with the RE4 engien and that would be seriously fucking kick-ass, because RE4's gameplay is what I've always wanted out of the RE serries.
