@ DEADFUNK....

if you don't know what your talking about you should actually do some reasearch on the subject of stfu...

may i suggest you look up a genre known as "krautrock" that inspired some of electronics musics pioneers like kraftwerk or maybe do yerself some book learning on the nutorious robert moog.

psy came along wayyy later ...

the only thing hippies invented is lazyness and self dergadation...

and its not about the beard or the dreads ... its about fucking dancing BAREFOOT!
haha

in fact its about thinking that you live with the nature because you think you do stuff wich is good for the nature

but if you really wanted to be good with nature, you woulndt dress at all
niether eat something that is processed, you would kill your own animals, oh yeah you dont want to kill animals, then get your own vegetables, directly from soil and trees... and you wouldnt get to a rave because rave is 100% un-natural...

all the equipement is made in factories that pollutes, as vinyls/cd, uses a lot of electricity that we have to cut forest and changes rivers to do ...if not nuclear electricity...
and the music is made with gear that were made by polluting ...

so hippies are the biggest scams ever...by living they contradicts themselfs ...

i didn't bother reading the rest but electronic music most certainly did not start with house, or in the 80s.

well not electronic sound, but were talking about pure electronic music... arent we?
or just band that incorporates some electronic elements? if so then i am wrong

but full electronic music really is from the 80 with new wave and hiphop and stuff, maybe the late 70 but i dont know all of the music's history, so i am awnsering from my best knowledge

and i know what is the moog, but to say that a band used it, and for that they invented electronic music, then maybe we dont share the same point of view about what is electronic music ...

i am 100% aware that these band are pioneers in USING ELECTRONIC SOUNDS in thier track
but it is still NOT ELECTRONIC MUSIC, for me electronic music is music made 100% or almost with synths and/or comps ...

a guitar/bass/drum/piano/vocal and sometime a moog dont make it electronic music ...

thats the diference

i dont have to search right now but i never heard of a band using ONLY electronic sounds in the 50's 60' or early 70's ...
if there are id be really happy to hear stuff they did

and electronic music, as in techno, that means 4/4 dance kick by beat electronic sound only music did started with house, with the grown popularity of the tb303 in the midlle of the 80's
disco wasnt made by machines exclusively ....

i know im forgotting things, and i may not be all right everywhere, and correct me if i am, but this thread is not about who hold the undiscuted definitive truth, so to tell me to stfu is wrong...

ps. as you can see when i refeer to electronic music i refeer MAINLY to techno/house/dance music ....
in that case that may be biaising what im telling ... or whatever, i understand myself hahaah!

"The development of the techno sound in Detroit, Michigan and house music in Chicago, Illinois in the 1980s, and the later UK-based acid house movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s fueled the development and acceptance of electronic music into the mainstream and introduced electronic dance music to nightclubs." Walk Together, Rock Together by 7 SECONDS

It's Not The Way We Look
It's Not Our Stance Our Style Our Hair
Forget Those Stupid Barriers
Take Down That Flag You Wear
Just People Living On
With Different Hearts And Different Minds
If We Live In The Same World
Why Can't We Stand In The Same Line

If We Can Walk Together
Why Can't We Rock Together

No I Dont Care
If Your Into Different Bands
No Cause For Such Hatred
I'm Just A Different Man
Pull Off The Cover I Will Too
And Learn TO Understand
With Music Deep Inside
We'll Make World Our Unity Plan

If We Can Walk Together
Why Can't We Rock Together

A Label Is A Label
Ddefinition, Nothing More
And Because Of Labels We Have Placed
We Live In Constant War
Destory All That Tradition
And Live Before You Die
Lets Rock Together From Now On
And Never Be Denied

My bitching about hippies;

The problems with hippies is that they believe they are Earth friendly and think that they are helping Mother Earth. Although their friendliness towards the environment is welcome, their methods is laughable at best, and simply regressive at worst.
If it is difficult enough to spread about Global Climate Change that when the population thinks that environmentalists are filthy barefoot tree-lovers.

Wendy Carlos. there are hundreds and thousands of dudes you haven't heard of. not that i've heard of everything....but if you wanna talk about electronic music...fukkin..Stockhausen...Pierre Henry / Pierre Schaeffer...Xenakis...Varese...the list goes halcyon and on and on....check it out!

I don't hate hippies but most of them subscribe to marijuana-fueled political ideologies that I find highly offensive.

Let the people be the type of human being they wanna be, live and let live. May it be Trance, dnb, HHC or whatever the orientation. Can we, for God sake, let the people make their own choices and respect the differences of style, presentation, taste and philosophy? Are we mature enough to do that? Are you suggesting that we need more boundaries, more discrimination, more Wars. I would ratter go tripping with a group Earth-Groupies than to chill my ass in Afghanistan with some fuck-top military militia that are invading third world economies. BO has never kill anyone as I know. Why choose hate instead of comprehension, why choose guns instead of a Trees, why choose to be an ass-hole when you can be light? Why? Because every times your turn on to mainstream media they tell you to be afraid, that war is good for your economy and everything that look, smell or act different than a particular standard should be ban, report to the police, and once and for all, excluded. They want you to be the Bully, the Executor, le Facho Faché Fasciste (///_v)

The Canadian forces in Afghanistan are doing a lot more for the world than the earth-hippies, they are risking their lives to protect the people of Afghanistan from being taken over by the fundamentalist-wacko's in the Taliban, while the "earth-hippies" are out in the forest making their minds sick with drugs, risking only the chemical balance of their brains.

Fuck it, I still like psy-trance and all that, but seriously FUCK hippies, I never met a more selfish group of people who try and enforce a twisted political and lifestyle stereotype on themselves. The real hippy movement is long dead.
