This week upstairs, Rinse Out will be represented by:
Stalker The Darklord of the dancefloor will be providing us with 1.5 hours of non-stop DNB mayhem. With his forth coming release on Full Force with Subtone, he's been in the studio and has some brand new tunes to go along with his razor sharp mixing we have all come to know and love. Black Market Thats right, Montreal's king of pushing boundries when it comes to what people think DNB "should be" is gracing us with his presence and as always, will be playing his own originals. He is represented in the stores at the moment with his releases on Jungle X (producing under Anti-Man) and Trotch. Davis Hes the strong silent type, but packs a bag full of Grime like its nobodys business. Come hang out early with us and hear Davis get the party started. Rock and Roll! |

Hey look what I found on [ mtldnb.com ]
DJ Bliss Wrote: "Anyone who does the proper research will be able to tell you that: The ORIGINAL breaks started with FUNK and ROCK in the 70s. In the early 80s peeps started sampling and looping those breaks giving birth to HIP HOP & BBOY BREAKS as well as ELECTRO FUNK Then in the 90s the Brits and guys in the states speed up those hip hop tempo breaks giving birth to early UK BREAKBEAT which was also known as Hardcore back then... Later towards the mid nineties UK producers speed up those breaks even further to create a new genre called DNB... Its all breaks but at different tempos which you can loosely group into 3 categories: You have breaks at a "Hip Hop" tempo which is around 90 bpm (downtempo breaks, funk or just straight up hip hop beats) You then have breaks at around 120 bpm (big beat, nu skool breaks for example) And then you have dnb which is breaks at around 180 bpm (put all subgenres of dnb here) Et voila" pwnt. |
