...to pretend there's gonna be a great fetish party and invite Jeebus, and when he'll show up, he'll get tied up to a chair, and then the lights will turn on and it will become a hairdressing party *fun for everyone*!!! Every ravewaver will get a chance to express his revenge on Jeebus for his extra long posts in the forum by cutting a strand of his hair, so at the end he'll become normal again, cause all his "smartassness" was cut off. Oh, and he'll get a dye job too!
I'm feeling happy right now..

Eventhough that was posted in good humouur I'd like to address the consequences of what would happen if my hair was cut against my will. In a nutshell the party (or parties) involved would pay a very heavy price which I can guarantee would not in their best intrests...

Hehehe, you'll probably chase me down the street and we'll have a kung fu deathmatch Tekken style, and then there will be lots of flying, plenty of "HYYYYAHH!" noises and some blood! And maybe some hair too...but it will be totally worth it! Just imagine Jeebus with short hair dudes, it's gotta be something!

My adolescent ignorace encouraged me to conform to certain accepted norms eventhough I wanted long hair as early as I can remember so I kept it very short for many years. I've accepted the fact that most people find me more attractive that way but growing my hair was an important personal decision which I felt predisposed to make inevitably so I got it over with after graduating high school.

Laziness has nothing to do with it. In fact I have several volunteers who'd gladly pay me to cut it. Growing it was something of a personal mission that just had to done. It's hard to explain but it was something I had to provwe to myself. Technically, I suppose one could say that the mission has been accomplished but as one could imagine it's not something that's easy to let go of after so much time and dedication. I'd like it to get somewhat longer before I finally decide to cut and donate it. Amongst a few other reasons it serves as part of an ongoing sociological experiment meanwhile which has helped me understand the way others discriminate those who are different.

I have dreads so I feel that whole 'discrimination' thing, it's really not that bad and I must say that in some cases I got un-discriminated against simply because I was different. However, appearance is very important, especially in the business world... I simply could not rise in a corporation and keeps my dreads.

If you're qualified, experienced, work well with others, and efficiently productive I don't see why dreds should arbitrarily affect chance of employment or advancement in a corporation. The only industries where I could see hair being an issue is the food industry and the military (for potential health reasons) and maybe the retail industry (since traditionally, most employers prefer someone who's "esthetically pleasing" dealing wih customers face to face. In an office environment appearance doesn't dictate responsability, productivity, or efficiency. The only thing it affects is social politics between colleagues which, as we know, isn't required to run a successful business.
