No, when your doorman,
there's about 3 buses worth of groups that come in every day and you have to haul about 120 luggages a day on a trolley, up a ramp and through half the hotel. I can garantee you , mexican and japanese luggage are heavy motherfuckers. I'm not backing up hotel pratices, I'm just telling you that girls have seldomly been hired. I've seen girl securities, but none keep the job of a doorman/bellman. I've heard of a couple that quit after a week. But yeah, in general, I think it is a sexist practice (it'S not a policy btw), hotel industry is OOOOooollld school man.

What I love most about my job is the pure flexibility of doing whatever I want, Whenever I want. As long as my workload is on pace for completion I have the freedom to do anything... chat on msn, eat at my desk, burn dvds, surf [ rave.ca ] torment my colleagues...etc |

Don't forget that we're all God's children Fred. Once you repent for your past transgressions you will understand the will of righteousness. |

All the way. We get paid for every delivery we do in rooms too. Luggage we haul in from groups are also paid for straight to us. When I used to work at Holiday Inn though, the ownwer, a very well known Jewish landowner, sold the hotel to his different number companies and rented it all out (rooms, furniture, employees), successfully throwing out the union for most jobs in the hotel. Except Bellman/concierge and housekeeping. Here's a hint, his name starts with R and ends with Berg. Half the city knows him for his questionnable business ethics.

i work in resturants as a chef in the mornings making the specials of the day and soups and shit. Making sure theres enough prep done for the day and nights service. Within a month i am being promoted to being a manager in my own departement. I have been working in this place for about 8 months, but ive been in the resturant industry for about 7-8 years |

He wasn't saying that he personally thinks girls are weak, he was just stating that girls aren't usually hired because men are stronger and it's a physically demanding job. |
