What's your favourite genre of electronic music?
Try to keep it in those genres... for instance if you like french filter funk, then tick house... or if your into NU-UK- super hard- 2-step- garage- house- minimal- progressive- electroclash try to find the appropriate general genre. 'Nuff said. If you like something else, please say so (I'm writing a project on electronic music and am trying to figure out what styles the people of montreal/canada are most interested in.) |

downtempo....
minimal... so may... too many to list actually.... there are so many sub genres within genres that dont sound anything alike and you would spend all day listing them...kudos though for recognizing that gabber/hardcore is not music but as another person quoted "drug paraphenelia" big brownie points for that  |

there are waaaaayyyyy to many sub genres to try and list.
Inside psytrance for example you could have, Full on, Goa, Isreali, Buttrock, Dark, Minimal And as far as gabber goes, I agree, it's fueled by coke and meth and norweigen body builders. Happy-hardcore, freeform and the like are just sped up trance to me. |

how can you say that a certain style is fueled by drugs? Come on...nothing like enforcing terrible stereotypes.
geez, not everyone who likes fast music is a junkie... |

there are whole branches missing, such as techno, industrial noise, hardtekno, hardcore, happy hardcore, breakcore, freeform, ... and ambient, minimalist, braindance/idm, tribe, ...
anyway, i have 2 major preferencies : jungle/drum'n'bass, and hardtekno/breakcore |
