 Coolness: 159835 | Meh. Tiesto could be blamed by I prefer to redirect that anger towards everything surrounding him : everyone involved in publicising his name like radio & TV shows, promoters and the likes mainly.
I'd also bitch at partygoers. Sure, try to tell them to snap out of it but this concept is like the Matrix : if it's easier and more convenient for the masses to remain stupid and blindly believe what they are being fed, they'll go this way. People are fundamently lazy and careless by nature. A big majority of people I talk to about how the scene turned to crap all respond the same way " meh. I don't give a shit anymore ". Wow, bravo. So much love for something you said was totally life-altering and that you " couldn't live without it " a few years back. It like owning a BMX bike for years that you did insane tricks with, impressed all your friends and loved to death only to leave it on train tracks and let it but crushed to pieces...just for the hell of it. Why ? Because of the " meh, I don't give a shit anymore " factor. People are avid consumers : they will use a product until it's broken but won't bother repairing it. They'll just trash it entirely and go with something newer and shinier. What Tiesto spins is easy to listen to, easy to purchase, is available anywhere and EVERYONE knows him ( " like wow, you like Tiesto too ? What are the odds ? " ) DJs don't achive rockstar status without the fans elevating them there. Wanna blame someone ? Blame people being lazy dumbfucks. |

| Coolness: 57925 | I don't think it was an attack against JUST Tiesto, pixelized, but rather towards the entire "dj-worshipping-cult" in general that seems to have emerged in the rave scene these past 10 years. When you go over most of his site you can clearly see he is probably someone who would have rather seen the free party/TAZ ideals perpetuate on a global scale rather than just thrive in a few countries.. at least that's what I got from it. |

Pour moi, c'est important d'y mettre une touche spéciale... de pas m'habiller comme dans vie de tous les jours, ça aide à se mettre dans un état d'esprit spécial. C'est triste que ça soit pus aussi répendus qu'auparavant. Même quand y'a un dress code, même quand c'est l'halloween, y'a encore la moitié du monde et + qui s'habille ordinaire, bonjours pour l'ambiance... Mais quand tu fais un rave aux 3-6 mois ça doit être plus facile que quand t'en fait un à toutes les semaines... À cette époque, y'avais un rave au 3-6 mois, c'était dur d'en abuser. À toujours mettre du sel dans ta bouffe, ça goutte même pus salé... |
