San Andreas Lag

 Coolness: 104050 | I recently got San Andreas..the system requirements was 1ghz..Im using a 2.4ghz P4..and its lagging just a bit...enough to not be enjoyable..is anyone else having this problem..is there a way to make it run faster?

 Coolness: 686305 | What's your graphic card? Generally that'll be your problem these days. Turn down all your graphic options to low and see how that goes. |

 Coolness: 230390 | what processes are running with large requirements? IT may be youve just got too many things tieing up processor/ram.. Otherwise try turing the graphics settings down and see if that helps.. if it has a console built in like quake III arena there may be any number of settings youll need to tweak for online play. |

| Coolness: 104050 | Yea...the thing about it was...u know sometimes when u open a big game up..it lags a bit until it gets used to the game..it kinda did that..it stills lags a bit in a few areas of the map..but not much...mostly lags when theres alot of details...the minimum req was 64mb anmd that what I have so i'll live with it ;) |

I was pretty good at vice city (on ps2). I could drive my car at full speed for hours and rarely get into an accident. I just bought san andreas for PC. Now i cant drive worth shit. Everytiem i take a turn or dodge a car, my rear wheels just lose grips and i do 360s. I cant even use the handbrake right. so, my question: Is it possible that i need my character to gain 'driving skills' and when he is maxed out the car will star responding in a automobilesque manner? Cuz right now its like driving on pure ice. Because of that, i put the game aside, rated it as a very boring and badly designed game, and i probably wont touch it again cuz there is no fun in not being able to outrun cops. so, should i just drive around for hours or is the driving engin the suck? also, battlefield 2 is alot of fun. |

Never heard of it. As for your driving skills, it may have to do with the car your rippin' around in... And most likely your suckiness behind the wheel is due to your lack of "know-how" in the driving skills department... ... or maybe you just suck. Ohhh! Nah, just playing... That game rules. |

 Coolness: 92980 | yeah, and its probably just that you give up too fast and ur not used to the controls yet! As you go on in the game you also get access to more and more cars. Most of the cars at the beginning of the game are complete crap. |
