The rainbow sucks, we talk about it just to say that the chill is really a bad location for a decent party. It's ok for, well, chilling. |

I think there is more potential dj/audience interaction at the chill then at aria... inless they have the sorta-stage like thing like they did at infected mushroom. Then you are face to face with the Dj. What kind of interaction were you looking for Dj in the middle of the room.. it sounds more like you're complaing to me becuase you don't like the chill for whatever reason. |

I admit that I don't get the "DJ/audience interaction" thing... But I understand that it's so small that it can be a turn-off to a lot of people. |

The DJ is right infront of the dancers, what more interaction do you want? I know he's in his own little apartement but still... |

Well, the "little appartment" separates the dj from the crowd, in my opinion. Well, can't be as worse as Gravity, but still, when I'm at the chill, I find it difficult to see interaction between the dj and the crowd. |

the interaction comes from the music and the crowd.. if you spend your time watchin the dj for dance move cues then you may as well be watching videos with no sound instead of dancin to audibles.
The chill in no place to throw a party unless you plan to have a solid 100 people all night and you're happy partying in an apartment. It's an after party joint and without some serious investment it'll never change looks enough to be anything else. Simons party was fun, I VJ'd by layin off some opengl visualizations to play via winamp.. nothing serious but it kept the one tv screen busy. An odd collection of age groups however really suprised me.. from barely legal to barely senile.. wtf? lol Careful next time you try throwing an equivelant event Simon, I'm sure you did not quite come out in the black... But c'est la vie. Keep scouring those chocolate bars for another golden ticket! |

Relativly cheaper?? are you on crack? for having thrown parties at both the chill and at rainbow, its much easyer to not lose money by renting the chill. i mean, what's there to pay for at the chill? your dj's?? and?? deco?? not really cause they have art there.. equipement?? well, depends on how picky your dj's are.. djs?? yeah, obviously.. chill = about 450$ to rent, with sound and mixing gear.. rainbow = about 1000$ to rent, with sound.... you do the math, but 100 people at 10$'s = 1000$... :) |

rainbow fits more than that..are we talking about the rainbow-ites? if so it fits 5-600 ppl no? its about $$2500 to rent now and u have to use their sound....the chill is 450$...I dont know where El Leader Maximo got 600...maybe they changed their price I dunno. I dont think the chill is that bad....the name says it all...its a good place to chill. I cant really stay there all night without feeling chlaustrophobic (did I spell it right?) I need to go outside every now and then...take a walk. But I think Vartan and Vic are nice guys.
I also think Simon is one kick ass dude :) |
