I just boughta a new laptop and i was wondering what is the maximum that i could do to protect i. I already got SP2, Norton, Adaware and Spybot but I know you can never protect your cpu enough. Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

in fact, dont do anything with it. just let it sit on your desk and dust it once and a while.

outlook is a great conduit for virii, due to the way it's tied into wsh and the com object structure in windows os's.

Get the spybot teatimer thing that scans for registry modifications. Unless you are installing something, NEVER let anything happen.

Works real good. also, make sure whatever you install doesn't have spyware in it.

not running internet explorer (IE) takes care of a lot of problems...

Spyware problems are pretty much proportional to the amount of warez/porn sites you visit with IE...

outlook executes scripts through the windows scripting host which has direct access to com objects inside the windows operating system. This allows it to invisibly execute and propogate malicious code.
