Here's Patrick DSP biography.

:: introduction ::

Patrick DSP (Patrick Gharapetian) was born in Tehran, Iran in 1977.
In the 1980's, after brief stays in Sweden, England and Germany,
Patrick settled in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area. Patrick has always
been a fanatic for anything technical. In the early 1990’s, Patrick
got into music by Depeche Mode, New Order, Front 242, and Nitzer Ebb.

:: production ::

Patrick DSP’s inspiration for electronic music production was
instigated by his overwhelming fascination with remixes.
Shortly, he began using his computer to re-create his own
personal mixes of commercial material. DSP officially constructed
his own creative inspirational zone – NepTune Studios – in 1999.
Mastering, re-mastering, studio consulting and remixing are a
few of the many services offered by NepTune Studios and affiliates
ranging in locations from North America to South America.
Patrick DSP’s production style ranges from film scores
to ear- bleeding hard techno.

:: credits ::

Re-mastered “The Classic Series” of mix CDs for DJ Robert Oleysyck
USA). Studio consultation for Korg UK, to name a few.
Produced the “Silicon Mix” for the BPM Project
“Save the Rave” (GCP Music, Canada) as well as the worldwide
white label release of “Halloween” a hard techno update of
Ministry’s classic “Everyday is Halloween”. He currently has
releases on Hydraulix, Cluster, Maximum Minimum Records in the UK,
Lifeform Recordings, Working Vinyl, and Combat Skill in Germany.
Future projects include prospects of opening up his own Audio
Production Academy in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and of course much more
production work.

:: the DJ ::

Patrick’s first DJ residency was from 1997 - 1998 for a Toronto
promotion company known as The Entertainment Network (E! Netwerk),
spinning ambient initially with Gerald Belanger, and later
dropping techno in the main room. From 1998 to 1999, DSP
coordinated the second room and played at “Destiny Fridays”,
a Toronto weekly, promoted as one of Canada’s longest-running
rave promotion companies. Later helping organize the Techno
tent at W.E.M.F. Patrick has spun across Canada, in cities
including Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Saskatoon, Calgary,
and Ottawa. As well as DJ'ing across Brazil on a number of
occasions; DJ’ing with the likes of The Advent and Gaetano Parisio
to name a few. Currently, Patrick DSP is making the switch from
just DJ'ing to providing a Live PA Performance as well. Patrick
DSP’s current musical style is hard and fast – hard techno geared
towards sensory overload!
