I once knew how to meditate when I was younger, but I have since forgotten how. It is really interesting what some meditators can do though, I have actually seen people getting so into it that they start to bounce, and i don't mean just little bouncing i have seen a guy sitting cross legged and bouncing like one to two feet in the air and being in a state of total meditation

Thats what is so crazy about it, it is not intentional it happens once a person reaches a certain state of enlightenment that the body actually begins to fly somewhat. I'm not exactly the best person to explain it because it is hard to explain, but it is really crazy to see it..

the bouncing can just happen but it can also be done on purpose....even in the lotus position. I've seen dudes hopping all over the place crosslegged.

yup, i do. trancendental meditation, focus exercises, blabla. its part of my training regiment from crescent moon school.

next big hurdle is astral travel without the use of hallucinogens.

i recommend vibrating mantras or the names of dieties, has an instantaneous effect. (ex.: nam myoho renge kyo) gluck.

i found out troughout the years that psychedelic drugs are a short-cut to the same states that meditation provides ..
its automatic to me ...but with less efforts ..
makes me tune back in to what i already discovered ...

not sayin its better ; just sayin its still workin ...for me ..

Yeah, or a good thing is to light up incense and starre at the smoke coming out of it. It's amazing, you just get lost. Very relaxing, and it smells good.

I'd like to try astral projection someday, but it looks quite hard to do. My mom is scared that if I get out I won't be able to get back in...
I wonder if that can actually happen... :S

^^ thats what certain shamanic traditions say. if something happens to your astral corpus your physical body takes the brunt of it. get locked out, get killed, seriously injured, etc. take it with a grain of salt.

To be quite honest... I've heard of such people bouncing and "flying" and I wanted to know how physically possible it is to do so... remember that we are limited to what our minds can do.

What would happen if you'de abruptly stop his meditation while he's "flying" and shit... will he enter some sort of comma-like sleep? lol
