i remember when gas used to be around 40c a liter...
FUCKING BITCH ASS GAS COMPANIES there was this newsletter going around calling to boycott a single gas company to force it to drop prices, so that others will drop as well but i really doubt anough human mass can be gathered for this purpose... average joe fills at the nearest gas station in short, yup. we're owned. |

we're owned because we like horsepower.
you could buy a honda with a low compression ratio and you can save alot on gas. |

boycott esso, not just because it decides on gas prices.
it's owned at 70% by the biggest petrol company, exxon-mobil from texas. it's the most polluting oil that contains three times more sulfur than any other. and because it denies climate changes. and because it financed georges w. bush's republican party's elections so the usa wouldn't ratify the kyoto protocol. and finally, with those billon dollars exxon-mobil gives to the american governement, big part goes to war in irak. so thanks to esso for filling up the tanks. get it? |

the gas companies don't generally jack up the price, it's the oil they buy, the more expensive it is, the more they charge.. |

bah, people should stop using their cars for everything/anything..
cars are only necessay if you're moving something you can't carry.. |

three cheers for unused siberian oil. i still cant believe 90% of all pre-Perestroyka drills there are frozen to this day just because nobody will risk the major capital needed to develp them. |

i've seen people try to boycott gas stations before...it's so stupid, it's like a bunch of crackheads full of bravado trying to boycott a dealer. It works until the stash has run out. Period.
People will bitch and complain but will be back at the pumps the next day. The boycott will only work if people do just that....boycott. Don't drive for two weeks....fuck this "i'll go to a different station or use less" crap. Unless you absolutely NEED to drive, park the car and leave it parked. |

boycotting a 'necessity' is near impossible.
the problem lies with people believing they 'need' their car.. :P |

yup...it's why i'll only buy a clean car...gas hybrids are better than nothing but they still aren't good enough...totally pollution free is the way to go, hopefully with a bi-product that can be used or recycled.
*devil's advocate in me goes off on a tangent about how much money made off the internet goes to fund terrorism and pollution* but anyways it was just a question that popped into my head...i really do wonder what i'd pay. |

money made off the internet? well, that's not really the internet's fault.. that's like blaming capitalism for terrorist.. :P
as for clean cars.. not for a while.. even hydrogen is bad.. mainly cause whats the quickest way to make hydrogen for those cars? fossil fuels.. hahahaha. :P |
