Vegetarianism isn't bad as you say, not eating properly, vege or not, is bad. Many vegetarians eat poorly, just like many carnivores eat poorly....eating meat DOES NOT mean eating a balanced diet.

I don't know too many carnivores.. Personally I'm an omnivore. Meat isn't my main diet, just a part of it.

Oh yeah and Beer is a good source of vitamin b12, especially if it's bottle conditioned (yeast on the bottem of the bottle like unibroue or le cheval blanc)

I think nutritional and brewer's yeast have all the B's except B12...they have to be fortified with it. But hey, most of those beers have higher alcohol content and the aforementioned B's so it's still a good choice...thanks for the imput :)

...and i don't know many carnivores either. Still have one or two friends who like meat with a side order of meat covered in meat though..

I'm an omnivore, leaning towards carnivore. If I don't eat meat for 2-3 days, my body starts rejecting all other food I try to eat. It's really strange. But I love the taste of meat and have on more than one occaision gone to Janos alone and had the Mixed Grill platter for 2 by myself with no fries. (Which means 5 diffrent meats on a grill, sized for 2 people. Usually ends up looking like this: 4 quails, 6 polish sausages, 4 large calmare, rabbit and chicken)

heh...i'm the opposite...I used to love meat, then my body started rejecting it...then it started to taste bad on the rare occasions i ate it...

now i'm in love with veggie burgers and veggie chillidogs...they taste great and my body's happy too

Veggie burgers are great. I ate those for a while and they really taste fucking good. As for hot dogs, well, I dunno, I doubt there's any meat in that anyways :lol

I just love food in general. As long as it tastes good I'll eat it. I just reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally have a preference for meat and could very easily eat meat for most of my meals and I won't feel unhealthy or sick, as opposed to not eating any, which makes me become violently ill...

I really like good vege burgers also, I find beef is often too heavy for my stomach and I don't eat too much of it

plain veggie dogs are gross but Yves hot and spicey Chillidogs done on a bbq rule...

I need lotsa protein and get it from many sources but what I really need to survive is pasta....i ate tons of it today...god, i love yummy food.

I'm wary of the whole "as long as it tastes good" thing though. Lotsa stuff that tastes good is a)really unhealthy and b)if you stop eating something for a year and then try again, you may realize that it actually tastes like shit. Sometimes i buy something that i used to enjoy but it just tastes disgusting now...especially milk products. Cheap chocolate and DQ stuff/other ice creams especially....they taste rancid...like milk gone wrong rancid. Oddly, I still love yogurt and cheese though..

and high grade is healthy in moderation :)

That's how giving up meat started for me...beef just stopped sitting well in my tummy. I grew up in turkey farming country though and kept eating that for a couple of years (turkey breast...mmmmm) but then i gave that up...i may eat organically raised turkey in the future if i have to but the thought of it still kinda grosses me out.

for every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three

thats just a fun things to say...

also, just to piss of vegetarians...

So I was eating supper at a restaurant with a friend the other day. I ordered a steak, and he ordered the vegetarian meal. When we get our order, he begins telling me the wonders of vegetarianism. He ends off by telling me that vegetarians live longer. When he said that I promptly cut a piece of my steak and said: "Yeah? This cow I'm eating was vegetarian. And he didn't live longer than me."
